Epic Cycle Ride Adventure Thing – Day Three

And so, after a wonderful cycle ride yesterday, we were all knackered, and had a bit of a lie-in. But when we all got up, we each packed our things together, snack-breakfasted, and loaded the bikes and bags back into the van.

Andy secured everything using ‘commercial cling film’ and Jake and I cleaned the house and did the dishes. Then we hit the road, and set off for Maidenhead.

We stopped at Winchester Services for a cooked, English breakfast, though the girl who took the order spoke next-to-no English, and we had to keep repeating our order. This meant that eventually when we did get our food, it was slightly cold, but it was fine.

But we pushed on, stopping only once again (for fuel), before Andy and Jake dropped me off at home. I had a key, but only for the back door. This door, however, was bolted. I tried tracking Mum and Harriet down, but neither had their phones, so it was all in vain.

In the end, I settled for just watching a BBC iPlayer programme on my iPod, but finally Mum arrived, and my weekend adventure came to an end.

Thanks to Jake, and especially Andy, for such an enjoyable weekend, and cycle ride.
