I thought I’d post a photo of a traditional crib scene – this one was taken at last night’s Christingle service at St Luke’s, and reminds us all of the true meaning of Christmas: a time when God came down to Earth in human form, as Christ our Saviour, simply to show our Lord’s unfailing love for all people.
That’s such a lovely message, so let whatever you do today be joyous and happy, but please do spare a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves – children who, perhaps, don’t have Christmas presents under the tree; the immobile elderly who are housebound by the snow and ice; and those spending Christmas ill and alone.
However, may you and your family have a wonderful, safe, happy Christmas.
