Stuffed Toys Sort-Out – 22 February 2011

Continuing with my recent flux of posts about our Great Spring Clean of 2011, today was my turn to make the two piles (that is the ‘to keep’ pile, and the ‘to donate to the charity shop’ pile). This evening, I was separating me and my sister’s well-loved teddies from those that are now neglected.

I was staggered when I emptied out the bag from the loft onto my bedroom floor – there were just scores of bears, dogs, and monkeys. Most had been locked away in the roofspace since my sister had a major sort-out of her room a couple of years ago. Today, I donated those of my fairly sizeable collection that were to join them when they headed off to the chop (a contraction of ‘charity shop’).
