During one advertisement break during Britain’s Got Talent last night, I see an advert which is truly beautiful.

It’s for British high street chain John Lewis, a business famous for its ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ promise. This effectively means that in-store, they will always try to match or equal their rival’s prices.

As a ‘John Lewis Family’ the advert bore something of a sentimental value to it, featuring a specially-produced cover by Fyfe Dangerfield of the Billy Joel song Always A Woman To Me.

The advert shows the life of a woman; and we see her go from a baby, to a girl, to a young woman, to a lady of a certain age. It was really very moving, and I hope you are just as moved as I was when I saw it.

The advert was produced by marketing agency Adam And Eve.
