It cost a couple of quid more to see it in 3D, and I was at first sceptical as to whether this whole 3D thing was all it was cracked up to be.
But as the film started I knew it would be good. I loved every minute of it, especially the part where Alice has a flashback of her as a child in Wonderland, which is very cleverly done.
Instantly recognisable as a Tim Burton / Johnny Depp collaboration, it is certainly an excellent version of the classic tale. The actors were excellent, and the CGI is so believable these days.
I would recommend it to anyone who (like me) has never seen a 3D film. It is just as good as it claims to be, and Alice in Wonderland is an excellent use of these modern technologies, even if you do look slightly silly in the glasses…
