Visiting Stratford to see the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of new play ‘The Christmas Truce’, I was delighted to find it intelligent and poignant, and yet highly accessible.
For those facing Christmas this year, for the first time, with their usual traditions shattered, I feel that they too deserve thoughts and prayers.
Fast becoming an annual Christmas tradition, our annual Waddesdon outing is one that I will gladly repeat in 2015.
As you watch Andrew ice the Christmas cakes, be aware: all is not as it may at first seem.
Be in no doubt: Christmas is on the way. Shops are staying open later, illuminations around the country are being switched on in grandiose ceremonies – and, for me, nothing hails the countdown to Christmas more than the Combined Charities Fair at Maidenhead Town Hall.
