About Today – 26 April 2010

It’s 1:00am on Tuesday 27 April 2010, and I am now lying in bed. It’s not been a bad day today, it’s certainly been a ‘journey’ for lack of a better cliché. It’s been fun, and could have been really really bad. At one point I thought that it would have been better if I hadn’t got out or bed in the morning, but actually I’m glad I did.

I forced myself to finish the first real test DVD this evening. But it didn’t work; with menus going everywhere BUT where they were meant to go, and weird buttons being where they shouldn’t. Despite looking like it would be far better to just give up, I battled on – after all, I am a Burdett!

It was at midnight that I was unsure whether to really continue or do it in some other way. As it seemed I would be unable to do the DVD using the same ‘project’, I eventually realised that the only way to do it would be in a new project. So an hour later, and I press ‘burn’ on that, to do it overnight.

Dad, if you’re reading this, I love you so much despite what I said, so thank you for trying to help. I love you so much, but it was very frustrating!

And now, lying in bed with the radio, my favourite gadget, and even my teddy, I remember just how lucky I am to have had the opportunity to get it wrong, wrong again, and then FINALLY – I hope! – a decent DVD!

Now Monday, I look forward to a week including my birthday (which I won’t be revealing the exact date to) and starting a new ICT project which is set to be very tedious as it’s Movie making using the demon, Movie Maker.

Ah well, all coming this week. Fun.
