Coming Soon: Christmas Tree Festival – 24 November 2012

Keep reading to watch a video of congregation members promoting St Luke’s 2012 Christmas Tree Festival.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Christmas Tree Festival at St Luke’s, which saw the church filled with over thirty real Norwegian spruces, preparations for this year’s repeat event are under way.

The festival offers local businesses and organisations the opportunity to sponsor and decorate a tree, and welcomes families to look around all weekend.

To raise awareness of the Christmas Tree Festival, now just two weeks away, hardy congregation members gathered in a drizzly Maidenhead High Street this afternoon, armed with tinsel and donning Father Christmas hats.

Revd Sally Lynch, vicar of St Luke’s, said: “The church will be open to view the beautiful decorated trees, and there’ll be entertainment on the Saturday evening, so come and join us Around The Christmas Tree for singing and eating of seasonal refreshments.”

The Christmas Tree Festival will run from Saturday, 8 to Monday, 10 December 2012, with the Around The Christmas Tree social event on Saturday, 8 December at 7:30pm.

More information is available from the church website: www.stlukeschurchmaidenhead.org.uk.
