Photo of the Week – 17 April 2011

This Week’s Photo

I took this picture inside the famous Sagrada Família, a church that – despite construction work starting in 1882 – is still being built. You can read my full thoughts on the church in an upcoming post with my Catalonia diary.

It was a really hard decision, to choose one photo from so many of a brilliant week in Spain. This one and this one were a close call; I really like the high-angle on the action of the latter. However, the above image was chosen as my ‘Photo of the Week’ for this week, due to the gorgeous reflections of the bright, attractive stained-glass windows on the organ pipes. (Observant readers will have noticed I used the rapids ride photo on this post anyway…)

About ‘Photo of the Week’

Every Sunday, I’m intending to post a photograph taken at some point during the previous seven days. I know that many of the photos featured will not be of enviable quality, but then the aim is mainly to give me something to nostalgically look back over at the end of the year.
