20th Anniversary of Hubble Telescope – 24 April 2010

Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope launch. In 1990, the world was a very different place, and we knew oh so little about the skies around us. But this beast changed all that, when it was thrown up into the sky on the 24 April 1990, at 8:33:51 am (EDT). We’ve learnt so much about the solar system since its launch, and to thank it for everything it’s done, Google made this very attractive ‘Google Doodle’.
