Filming the Dance Show – 29 March 2010

Today was the night I would be filming the school’s annual dance show, to eventually sell with profits going to the school.

It was always going to be hard work, so I got school to lend me THREE Mini-DV cameras and a couple of tripods. Very nice of them, except you couldn’t set them to manually focus without manual exposure.

This meant every time the lights came up after a black period on stage, there was a blur for 6-7seconds. This is not clearly right, people won’t PAY for that.

So, after a little bit of a girly nag to a proper ICT teacher, I managed to find out about a Sony High Definition camcorder they have. This would be perfect, but not sure if I’m going to be able to get it yet.
